Request a Book!

Though I intended to mention this earlier, if you have a book in mind that you wish to review, send me a comment or e-mail. Chances are, I've already read it or it is on my list. There is no point in waiting for me to get to it, I might as well write up a review when you need it! Just remember that my targeted genre is young adult, teen, and children speculative fiction (speculative fiction is all the weird stuff--fantasy, sci-fi, steampunk, dystopian, etc).

Also, if you have read books in this genre or age-group that you really loved (or really hated), please tell me about them! I'm still broadening my searches and it is good to know what you like and what you don't.

Feel free to post as many requests or comments as you'd like. It helps me serve you and serve the Lord better. :)

  1. The Books of Bayern by Shannon Hale are amazing - have you read them? Also Treekeepers by Susan Britton is another favorite.

  2. I own "The Goose Girl" by Shannon Hale, but have not read it yet. I've seen a lot of positive reactions to her writing. Her name has now traveled up a few notches on my priority list. ;) I've never heard of Susan Britton. I love discovering new authors. Thank you for your input! :)

  3. Thank you for writing this blog! I'd read about half of the books already, and I agree with your comments on them. Also I've now read some that you recommended (like In Darkness HId and Heartless) and i love them! Thank you! and I"ll have to thank Julie again for recommending this blog to me.
I hate just going to the library and picking up a book without knowing about it - especially when it has a good cover and summary and then I run into nasty love scenes after I'm already into it... >.< So your blog is perfect for finding clean, well-wrtten books to read =) Thanks!

  4. Thank you so much, Tessa! That is very encouraging and I hope that my reviews continue to provide that outlet. :) I know my postings can be sporadic, what with finishing up grad school right now, but I hope to step it up near this fall season (the perfect time for reading)! Let me know if there are any specific books you would like a review on! :)
